What is Integrated Racking?

Four Post, or Integrated Racking is used in conjunction with standard shop shelving.  The main feature of this type racking is that the area above the shop shelving is not lost, and can be used as storage for stock, or to display heavy or bulky items.

How is this best utilised?

Integrated Racking is best used for storing and displaying both heavier and bulky items such as:

  • Paint
  • Power Tools
  • Boxed items
  • Excess Stock
  • Garden Supplies
  • General Accessories
  • Electrical Items
  • Spares

Benefits of an Integrated System

The benefits to using this system over traditional shelving alone include:

- The over bay storage means that the need for "back room" space for storage is greatly reduced by utilising vertical space - this allows you to maximise storage capacity without expanding floor space.

- It aids stock replenishment as the backup stock is stored directly above

- It maximises customer impact with enhanced product visibility - when well stocked, and gives the appearance of holding vast quantities of stock

- It enables the display of large items such as white goods, wheelbarrows etc

- Reduced "back room" usage: The over-bay storage feature allows for readily accessible backup stock directly above the shelving, negating the need for dedicated back rooms for storing additional inventory.

- Potential cost savings: By maximizing space utilization and reducing reliance on additional storage areas, integrated racking can lead to long-term cost savings in rent, utilities, and labor.

- Flexibility: These systems can be customized to accommodate various storage needs, from lightweight items on shelves to heavy pallets on the upper levels.

SEMA Approved Distributor

The SEMA Distributor Company (SDC) qualification indicates that a company is dedicated to  the supply of quality storage equipment. To become part of the SEMA Distributor Group (SDG) the company must demonstrate a high level of commitment to safety standards, work to industry codes of practice and be regulated by a random audit. We most recently scored 120/122 on our most recent audit putting us in an elite category of distributors.

Cutting corners on rack safety could cost you much more in the long run. We strongly advise you use a SEMA approved company for any racking purchases or installations. All of our installation teams are SEIRS (Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme) certified, so you can be assured that you are dealing with a competent company that is regularly audited by an independent and external process.
