30 for 30 Filstorage Charity Initative

As part of our 30th year, we are undertaking our most ambitious charity fundraising challenge yet. We have set out to donate, sponsor, and fundraise for charities and local community projects.

This ongoing challenge is due to finish in June 2024 which will complete our 30th year. 

1. Seas The Day sponsorship - we sponsored Miriam Payne who became the fastest female solo to row 3000 miles unassisted across the Atlantic Ocean in support of various charities. 

2. Goole RUFC - We are a match sponsor of Goole RUFC and participants of their charity golf day. Goole RUFC are one of our local rugby clubs.

3. Pocklington RUFC - a former club of our Managing Director, Paul Taylor. We place an advertising board and have supplied a shelving donation to their club store.

4. Hessle Theatre Group - heavily discounted supply and installation of shelving refit of store room.

5. Eastrington Cricket Club - Sleeve sponsorship of kit of our local village cricket club.

6. Eastrington Show - Sponsorship of Floral Art produce class & Handicraft class.

7. Phoenix AP (KB Education)  - donation of storage boxes to help Phoenix who specialise in provision for 8 – 16 years old SEMH/SEND children and young people.

8. Rotary Club of Howden Golf Day  - golf day fundraising and advertisement placed to support.

9. SHaKE - Donation of storage containers to help assist operations for local charity and fundraising group.

10. Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institute - Sponsorship at Great Yorkshire Show

11. Leukaemia Care and Research - donation via GPC

12. A Shining Light - donation of card reader and leaflet printing to support fundraising for Teenage Cancer Trust

13. Brain Research UK  - donation to Jenny who was running the New York marathon to raise funds for Brain Research.

14.  Yorkshire Air Ambulance - fundraising cycle and walk for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service which is funded by donations. 

15. SEED - fundraising cycle and walk for local charity which provides a support service for young people with eating disorders.

16. Hull and East Yorkshire MIND - fundraising cycle and walk to raise funds for local mental health and wellbeing charity.

17. Hull and East Yorkshire Children's University - fundraising cycle and walk to raise fund for local charity which is aimed at providing opportunities to children in disadvantaged areas.

18. Howden Girls Under 14's Football Team - donation of raffle prize to raise funds.

19. Dementia UK - Alison Taylor (Personnel Director) is undertaking the March Dog Walking Challenge for Dementia UK. The challenge consists of walking 100km with your pup (Charlie) throughout the month of March.

20. Howden Rotary Walk  - Charity walk consisting of Filstorage staff fundraising for Dementia UK and Cancer Research.

21. Music in the Park - Donations for marketing materials and sponsorship to help promote the local community event.

22. SYNGAP1 Syndrome Research - Donation for charity abseil at Anfield stadium by local MP David Davis.

23. HU4 Community Network Hub - donation of equipment for storeroom/use in foodbank for a West Hull Community asset who provide a vital facility for locals to use whilst supporting those struggling. 

24.St Michael's Church - Raffle prize donation for local church in Eastrington to help raise funds for running costs.

25. Eastrington Cricket Club Kids - Raffle prize donation for cricked festival fundraiser

26. Howden Harriers U12's - Donation for fundraiser

27. Lincolnshire Rural Support Network - donation to Helen at GPC for her 100km walking challenge fundraising doe LRSN.
