Filplastic Coffee morning raises over £700 for local hedgehog sanctuary
Our first event of the year has been a success! The coffee morning held at our Eastrington Office on Saturday 14th July was set up in order to raise money for local charity ‘Pricklington Palace’, a voluntary hedgehog sanctuary.
Pricklington Palace is a small (13 bedded) sanctuary for hedgehogs. The sanctuary is run singlehandedly on a purely voluntary basis in the hope of helping this threatened indigenous species survive in a very difficult environment.
The £3 entry event included a tea/coffee and a large slice of cake as well as a wide range of games and stalls including: Cake Stall, Plant Sale, Book and DVD Stall, Guess the name of the teddy, knitted clothes and toys, a raffle and tombola.
The event proved to be a great success with the weather holding out and over £700 raised on the day. The proceeds will go towards helping fund vet bills for Pricklington Palace.
