Filplastic UK raise over £1700 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Filplastic have raised £1744.60 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance following a Race Night at Eastrington Village Hall, on Saturday 6th October 2018. Over 100 people attended the event (near full capacity) and all sponsorship opportunities sold out (including ‘name a horse’ and ‘sponsor a race’).
Filplastic are celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year, and decided to do something special to commemorate it by raising money for a selected number of charities. As a result, a charity committee was set up by the business to oversee the planning and organising of events. The Charity Committee is made up of employees from all areas of the business and includes: Alison Taylor (Chair: Personnel Director), Gary Winter (Business Development Manager North East), Aidan Wheldrake (Warehouse Operative), Sherri Daly (Sales Coordinator), Karen Feasby (Sales Admin) and Tom Catchpole (Marketing Coordinator).
The Race Night followed a successful Coffee Morning held in June, which raised over £700 for Pricklington Palace, a local Hedgehog Sanctuary.
Alison Taylor, Personnel Director and Chair of Filplastic Charity Committee commented; “Thank you to all those who bought tickets and came along to the Race Night. We would also like to thank those who generously sponsored races and horses and donated raffle prizes. In particular, we would also like to thank Eastrington Village Hall Committee for all their help on the night.
