New appointment gives Filplastic the Sporting Edge

Filplastic BD Team

FILPLASTIC is hoping for a ‘hole in one’ with its latest appointment.

The leading racking specialist has recruited former golf professional Kyle Denham as business development manager for the North West.

Kyle, 30, will cover a region stretching from Staffordshire up to Lancashire and taking in North Wales, supplying Filplastic’s extensive range of racking lines, storage solutions and mezzanine flooring, principally to the region’s builders’ merchants.

Despite a successful stint as a golf professional, Kyle decided on a career change four years ago.

He gained the necessary industry experience in a previous role, but said he was now ready to take his career to the next level with Filplastic.

Kyle said: “After my time as a golf pro, I moved into the racking industry in an account management role. I enjoyed it and really got to like the sector, but my position at Filplastic is much more sale-focused which is exactly what I want to do.

“I love getting out, meeting new people and helping them find solutions to their challenges. This job gives me plenty of opportunity for that as we’re providing design and storage solutions that help businesses achieve efficiencies and maximise their returns.”

Kyle’s appointment brings Filplastic’s business development team to five and extends the company’s coverage to include all parts of the UK and Ireland.

Paul Taylor, managing director, said that collectively, the team now has more than 100 years’ experience in the racking and builders’ merchants’ industry between them, which was great news for the company.

He said: “We’re very excited to have Kyle join the business; he has that driving ambition that all good sales people have. Even though he has only worked in the industry a relatively short period of time, he’s a quick learner and already has an extensive knowledge of our product lines.

“His addition to the team not only means we can comprehensively cover all aspects of the UK, it also means we have a huge amount of talent and experience in the business, which puts us in great shape for the year ahead.”
